Individual components are IP-rated for indoor use only. However, if we have a containerized solution, it, of course, has a full IP rating. This means it can be installed outdoors and will be delivered ready for use.

Absolutely! We can work with any type of generation without any problem. All current commercial solutions are AC-coupled. Therefore, they can work with solar photovoltaic, wind, hydroelectric, and even gas-fired generators or cogeneration plants. We simply measure the generation and the grid input. Additionally, we can also operate as an off-grid solution. There are some sites that are already operating completely off-grid (this includes the battery, the generating plant, and a diesel or gas generator). So, commercial storage can work both on and off-grid, with any generation source.

Not really. They all have online monitoring, and all the data is reported to the portal. The end user, the installer, and GivEnergy can all see all of that information. Here at SBS, we'll generally know if there's a problem even before the end user does, and we can act accordingly. The real maintenance task is simply making sure that:

There's nothing stored around the batteries that shouldn't be there.

We can then offer a maintenance service if needed. We can draw up a maintenance plan along with a schedule of all the items we'll check. This can be done every 6 months, annually, or every two years, depending on your requirements.

Yes, we do. For larger systems, we include commissioning. The installer (whoever they may be) will come to install the system, but SBS Comercial will assist to make the final DC connections, program the EMS, verify that everything is working properly, and then we can also offer a demonstration to the end user.

The commercial battery warranty is 10 years, with at least 70% of the battery's capacity remaining after this period. It's worth noting that all products in the GivEnergy range are designed and manufactured for a 20-year lifespan.

There's no real limit. You can store as much energy as you need, as the systems are scalable. So this is a very flexible solution, depending on the size of the battery we're talking about. As a real-life example, a current project is a 4.8-megawatt-hour (MWh) solution with 4 megawatts of power, using eight 500-kW PCS in that system. However, that doesn't represent a limit. We can scale (up or down) according to your power needs.

No, not at all. The key thing about batteries is that they must be kept dry. Individual components are rated IP21 or higher (depending on the component). However, the entire system must be protected from the elements. Therefore, it must be installed indoors or in a container. It's fine to place the system in a warehouse, a plant room, or a service closet. The only key requirement is to ensure that the temperature remains within the permissible ranges and that access is restricted. Because these batteries operate at high voltage, they can be quite dangerous for anyone not trained and qualified to work with them. Therefore, they must be kept behind a locked door or in boxes.
